Facial mask and toner



Use 1 apple and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to freshen and tone your skin. First you need to peel, core and grate the apple before you stir it in the olive oil then set aside.

As usual you need to steam your pores open first. Soak a washcloth in hot water, wring it then apply to your face. Smooth the mask over your face. Leave the mask for 30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water then splash with cool water to close your pores.

Facial cleanser: Olive oil and egg


This facial cleanser is great for deep cleansing especially deep cleaning of pores. You need 1 egg, ½ teaspoon alcohol and 2 tablespoons of olive oil for this. Blend the egg yolk and oil using a fork. Pour in the alcohol. On a separate bowl whisk the egg white until it becomes frothy. Fold the egg white into the first egg yolk, alcohol and oil mixture.

Guess we are now ready for step 2. Soak a washcloth in hot water, wring it out and apply to your face. Steam your pores using the washcloth. Then smooth the mask over your face. You may use a clean soft brush to apply the mask. Avoid your eye area. Leave the mask for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Splash with cool water to close pores.

Face cleanser: olive oil and strawberry

To make a perfect cleanser for normal skin, gather about 8-10 fresh strawberries, 2 teaspoons sweet almond and ½ cup olive oil. Grate or rub the fruits against a wire strainer while you catch its juice in a measuring cup. Discard the pulp after grating.

Blend the strawberry juice with the almond oil while slowly adding the olive oil. Whisk the mixture until it is blended well then pour in a wide mouthed bottle with lid. The mixture should be stored in a cool place but not refrigerated.

Shake the bottle well before using. Massage the cleanser to your face. Please avoid the eye area. Rinse off with warm water then splash with cool water to close pores. A slight tingle of acid can be felt because of the strawberry juice. Experience that smooth feel of your skin and look younger. Shelf life could be one week or less.

Diabetes treatment


On October 17, 2006 FDA announced Januvia or sitagliptin tablets as DPP-4 inhibitors that help enhance the human body’s ability to lower elevated blood sugar. Januvia is approved for use in addition to diet and exercise. It has the ability to prolong the activity of proteins that increase release of insulin when blood sugar rises. Januvia blocks dipeptidyl peptidase IV enzyme which causes these proteins to break down. This makes it easier to control blood sugar. Common side effects are respiratory tract infection, sore throat and diarrhea. If you plan to take this, kindly consult your doctor if this is appropriate medication for your situation.

Diabetes cure



One doctor in Kansas revealed that her first line of treatment for patients suffering with diabetes is to remove carbohydrates from the patient’s diet. The most common practice worldwide for treatment of diabetes is insulin injection. On August 3, 2007, a university in Florida demonstrated a potential diabetes cure from genetically engineered lettuce. DNA of the lettuce cells was modified to produce insulin. Clever methods were employed to deliver insulin to the pancreas. Diabetic mice were fed capsules of insulin from the lettuce. The mice recovered normal blood and urine glucose levels at the end of the study. This means patients may not take insulin for the rest of their lives. Lettuce is a healthy food. The discovery is very cost effective. There are plans to make the test on humans soon.

The human body needs a constant supply of dietary protein. This replaces the protein that your body loses on a daily basis. Less protein weakens your muscles. This also makes your immune system less effective. Zone meal emphasizes balance of protein, carbohydrates and fats. Take your plate and divide it into three sections. One portion shall be allocated to protein which is about the size of the palm of your hand. Fill 2/3 of your plate with fruits and vegetables. Zone meal requires consistency. Bull sperm hair conditioner

One hairdresser I’ve stumbled on site offers clients a 45 minute £55 bull semen conditioning treatment. The bull sperm is combined with the roots of a plant named Katera which is very rich in protein. Treatment starts with hair shampoo then massaging the hair with the conditioning treatment. Hair is put under a steamer then blow dried. I can’t imagine the smell but the hairdresser made clear that refrigerating it before use keeps the odor down. Hair is made up of protein and protein is what it lacks when it becomes dry. The treatment leaves the hair look soft and thick. The ingredients are protein packed and help penetrate and condition hair shaft. This is available in a certain UK salon. Warts and its treatment

Eliminate ugly warts

Foot odor

Foot odor is as strong a problem as body odor and darkened armpits. It will put your friends running at a distance for cover and maybe repel vampires too. Stronger than garlic eh? Lol I have this kind of problem before but was gone when I started to use Dr. Scholl’s foot powder. This is very affordable and effective. Still you need to expose your leather shoes to the sun on weekends to destroy those viruses. And if you can spare a moment of your time to wash those rubber shoes please do brush them on weekends. Sweating causes foot odor as well as body odor. When you take your bath make sure that you wash those toes and feet with soap and water. After your bath it will help to put on a little lotion. This softens your skin and at the same time keeps your feet smell good.

Nothing can make you unwelcome in or out of any house or building than foot odor. Your feet have more sweat glands than any other part of your body. Bacteria love closed shoe temperature. The sweat stays there and the condition is perfect for rapid bacterial growth. Always remember to wipe your feet to ensure that it is dry before you put on socks and shoes. Please note that putting on shoes with wet feet will likely lead to athlete’s foot also. If the cost of moisture and odor absorbent socks are not too much it would be perfect to wear one of them all day long when you are at work to help keep the odor at an acceptable level. It is also wise to wear different shoes every other day in an alternate manner to give them the chance to dry out. Controlling foot odor may not be that fast but it will eventually eliminate the odor as you continue to observe the basics.

Asthma triggers


Illnesses like cold, flu or sore throat triggers asthma. Respiratory infections are popular trigger for children and adults with asthma. No geographic location is safe from asthma triggers. Various weather conditions set off asthma attacks. However crying, anger, frustration, yelling even laughter and any emotion that involves deep rapid breathing can cause asthma.

Asthma is not contagious but it does affect the whole family when someone is suffering from the wheez. The technique is to have daily cardiovascular exercise but not too much or strenuous. This will slowly disappear and the attack may not happen often. I am asthmatic and I observed that the more I stay at home with not much physical activity the more chances I am going to have an attack. So every day I do my early morning walk and it makes my breathing easier without hearing any slight wheez.

Understanding fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is nonarticular rheumatism accompanied with chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain or stiffness. This is associated with soft tissue tenderness at multiple areas. Symptoms are fatigue and morning stiffness. Key diagnostic feature is evidence of tenderness at multiple sites. Stiffness is usually in the morning. Other symptoms are sleep disturbances, headaches and irritable bowel movement. Fibromyalgia affects each individual differently. This muscular rheumatism is quite painful because it is characterized by pulling, tearing, shooting sensation with stiffness and immobility of the areas that were affected.

The disease is more common to those who have rheumatic disorder or inflammatory diseases. However it does not cause any progressive degeneration of deterioration. People who have the disease need to keep active as much as they like doing regular cardio exercises. Exercises help break the pain cycle. It is a fact that pain causes muscle spasm which is likely to interfere with the oxygen flow of the muscles. Low oxygen causes lactic acid accumulation in the affected muscle area. The patient tends to feel more pain. Doing regular cardio exercises help diminish spasm since it enhances oxygen supply and allows the muscle to stretch. Fibromyalgia patients frequently complain of pain. Fibromyalgia is a disorder that results to chronic pain because of the inappropriate neuromuscular reactions. The intensity of the pain anywhere is what triggers reflex muscle contractions.

Sleep apena

Sleep apnea is the most prominent type of sleep disordered breathing for heart failure patients. The lateral pharyngeal walls collapse medially and the tongue falls back posteriorly. This results to complete obstruction of the pharynx which causes your breathing to stop repeatedly during sleep.

Many people may have this without being aware of it as its symptoms may not be clearly recognized. Usual symptoms are fatigue and sleepiness, loud snoring, breathing that stops while sleeping, morning headaches, poor memory and irritability. Weight management may help relieve some individuals. Never drink alcohol and take sedatives before bedtime. Sleep apnea is not a stress problem so don’t even think about it. Understanding lymphangioma (cystic hygroma)

Lymphangioma is characterized by soft elevated nodules that look like a cyst but is relatively common benign tumor. This proliferates in any region of the head and neck. This tumor is often composed of multiple dilated lymphatic ducts. This can possibly grow to a significant size and descend deeply into the neck. Somehow it attaches itself with many vital structures in the neck. Removal is clearly difficult and surgery is the only possible effective treatment. The natural history of the disease is to relentlessly recur after excision. Attempts to completely remove the tumor and its roots shall be performed at first operation. Repeated surgical procedure may increase risk of damage to surrounding vital structures. These lesions differ in size from tiny subepidermal skin blebs to large dilated cystic-fluid-filled mass. Precise estimates of incidence are difficult to come by. The lesion is commonly present in the posterior triangle of the neck composed of dilated lymphatic channels but considered as benign cystic vascular lesions.

I have been operated with lymphangioma sometime in April 2007. I can observe the change in my strength and tolerance to noise. I easily get stressed out and have headaches now. I also notice that my writing ability is a bit slower unlike before the operation. My work online is already a great blessing for me after my retirement from the bank. The disease came and I felt nothing at all. It grew at the right side of my neck and I was not even aware of it. The first one to notice was my newly transferred officemate. My officemate told me about the bulge and it started everything: the checkups and the surgery. I even took it for granted because it didn’t affect me at all except that it was growing. My officemate kept on pushing me to go to the doctor. I was operated three days after the tests were completed.

Use aromatherapy to feel relax

Aromatherapy refers to beauty treatment that uses essential oils. These oils came from the essential oils of aromatic plants. Better still go to the spa and pay for their aromatherapy treatment. That would be quite good, effective and very relaxing. Save something for the future but spend something to reward yourself especially if it impacts health.

Wash your face with warm water then pat dry with your towel. Put a moisturizer after.

Is indoor tanning healthy for you?

Most women ages 16 to 29 go to tanning salons. The quickest way to get that tan in minutes is to lie down exposed to those UV light in tubes. One news article at ABCnews states that the American Academy of Dermatology declares tanning light as dangerous way to obtain a beautiful tan. It can cause premature aging and increases your risk for skin cancer. This list includes developing melanoma which is known as the deadliest form of skin cancer. One session for indoor tanning may cause same skin damage in early skin cancers because of its intensity which is more than the natural sunlight. The result may be a quicker tan but greater health risk too. UV radiation from indoor tanning induces vitamin D production. Exposure times are designed to minimize possible sunburn. People seek indoor tanning for its biopsychosocial benefits.

I came across one book which regards indoor tanning equipment as some form of health hazard. Pruritus, sunburn and skin dryness are the common complaints. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports about 700 emergency department visits for adverse reactions from sun beds. These are the effect of phototoxic and photoallergic reactions occurring within the UVA range. The incidence of melanoma and basal cell carcinoma has also increased for the past 50 years. Given the fact that indoor tanning produces UVB emissions besides the intense exposure to UVA, many health care professionals consider it as a risky public behavior.

How young is too young a date for me?

I have been watching couples walking around. A lot of older men are in dating relationship with girls as young as 20 or 10 years of their ages. Funny but these couples seem to complement each other. Avocado facial cleanser

Olive oil has been doing great on my skin especially the face. I bought an olive oil revitalizing crème for my face and an olive oil lotion for my legs and arms. Oopps I also bought olive oil lotion for the hands. The results are terrific. At least this is what I feel for the past 2 weeks. Now I am looking at the effects of the avocado moisturizer soon lol.

I guess I would want to try the all natural avocado facial cleanser too. This can be done at home by beating an egg yolk until it is light and frothy. Mashed half of an avocado fruit and add half cup of milk. Then mix everything and start beating until it appears like a thin cream. Uhmm… yummy… but nah… don’t eat lol….

Apply to face using cotton. Store the remaining formula on the refrigerator for use tomorrow. Discard after use and make a new one every other day. Avocado is perishable and we would want to get the best skin treatment possible from this all natural fresh avocado fruit. Wash your face with water and smile. Your skin looks fantastic. It is glowing!
